Deep magenta in colour, with a great vibrancy and brightness. A purple hue illuminates the wine.
Dark ripe plum and Christmas pudding fruit and spices lift from the glass. Elements of forest berry fruits and seasoned cedar wood and
clove spice are present in the aromatics. A light pretty note of sage herb provides a pleasant sweetness. The palate is rich and ripe in all its characters. A touch of ground white pepper spice adds an element of edge to what is a perfectly balanced wine.
Generosity of fruit and a firmness in the texture are defined by the rich grainy tannins. The wine has a density and richness yet is also elegant and refined. Chocolate and roasted chestnut sweetness rise through the finish to round out this wine.
A Shiraz of this standing will benefit cellaring for 15+ years, while still rewarding in its youth.
