The 2018 Shiraz displays an abundance of blue fruits, supported by notes of black pepper, liquorice & a subtle twist of orange bitters. The palate is round, generous & balanced with a long complex finish.
Vineyard & Winemaking Notes
Our Heathcote vineyard was founded upon ancient Cambrian greenstone which formed as a result of volcanic activity on the ancient seabed 500 million years ago.
With complex geology, 6 different Shiraz clones & an array of winemaking techniques, including whole-bunches & extended maceration, our aim with the Estate Shiraz is to highlight the generosity of fruit, synonymous with Heathcote, coupled with grace, elegance & complexity.
